Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.  I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion p6620f Desktop PC. I read that there was an update for Win10 and since then the wireless connection does not work. You tried to remove the wireless card but the wireless antenna on it broke. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • As of now, Is the PC still running on the original Win7 operating system or has it forcibly upgraded to Win10?
  • Please look at the below image and the antenna that connects to the wireless card is supposed to detach. If something else has detached then the wireless card needs to be replaced.

Secondly, I found the correct part number for the wireless card that will work with your PC. The part number is 588551-001. You may either contact our HP phone support or visit the HP PartSurfer website to order the wireless card.

The Win7 drivers for this wireless card can be downloaded from the HP website link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL34783/pv-86275-1/sp46490.exe

Please let me know if you encounter any error during the installation of the drivers.

NOTE: THe wireless card needs to be installed first before you install the drivers.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂
