Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have hp laptop 13-b202tu. having 1 tb hdd. I am planning to install 500gb ssd. I need to know

1. how i can install windows 10 by using the current windows license.

2. Can i make a recovery partition?

3. Is there any documentation or video i can follow to change the normal hdd to ssd.

Hi @SinuJoseph,

 

Thank you for posting at HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.

 

I understand that you want to replace the HDD with SSD, and you want to know how to reinstall the Windows 10 image on the new hard drive and keep the recovery partition, and the process of replacing the hard drive.

 

To replace the hard drive, please check Page 34 of this Maitenance and Service Guide.

 

You can create a recovery USB drive if you did not create one before:

HP PCs - Creating and Using a Microsoft Recovery USB Drive (Windows 10)

You can use the USB drive to recover the system on new hard drive.

 

You can also make a recovery partion, refer to create a system image on hard disc
