AC adapter is damaged along with battery and mother board. Can this be replaced?

HP Pavilion 13 model: 13-a013c

Hi, my HP Pavilion laptops ac adapter has been damaged and along with that the battery and motherboard have been damaged as well. Can I replace these parts or do I have to buy a whole new machine?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

While these parts, most likely, CAN be replaced -- the real issue is the cost involved, because not only would you have to pay for the parts (since the Warranty does not cover accidental damage), you would also need to have this done at an HP Certified Service Center and pay them for labor: to diagnose the problem, disassemble the laptop, replace the broken parts, reassemble the laptop, run diagnostics again.

The total cost of this work, the parts, and the shipping involved might easily exceed the cost of replacing the laptop.

You should see if you can get a cost estimate from one of the Service Centers:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

Good Luck
