Try

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-
e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]
"KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2"=dword:00000000

And then restart Windows.

Hi Asiri:

I am happy to assist you with this issue!

The device manager list the series but , not the specific model.  The 6470M is part of the 6400M series.

You could normally download the updated drivers from the AMD website click here but it does not list Windows 8.1 Enterprise. With that being said you can try updating the driver from Device Manager, right click on the card and choose uninstall. Once the uninstall completes right click on it again and scan for new hardware.

You can try running the windows updater located in your Windows programs.

You could also run the HP support assistant click here.

If you are still having an issue would you provide me with the exact model of "Hp Pavilion g6 series you have. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? click here. Please let me know if you are successful.

Hi Sparkles1,

Thanks for your guidence.

I folllowed your instructions.

After uninstalling the driver,

  1. It identified as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter'.
  2. Then it turns in to 'AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series' with a flicker of the display.

Before No 2 happens I updated the driver online. But again the No 2 result.

Do you have any idea?

My device is

HP Pavilion g6-1021tx Notebook PC

Hi Asiri:

Here's hoping you had a good weekend!

I understand that when you tried to update the driver, it installed the AMD Radeon HD 7400M series driver. I am not sure why but Windows deems it to be the best driver for it.  Have you tried running the HP support assistant click here. When I checked the driver download page for your computer I see there is a firmware update and a bios update. Have you done both of these? HP Pavilion g6-1021tx Notebook PC Drivers click here. Please let me know how it turns out.
