Hello,

 

Try to use an external one temporary to make your life and experience easier.

 

It's either a hardware button (if your model has such), missing hardware or misconfigured hardware. I don't think its defective hardware as it must have worked fine before the OS issue.

 

Please, carefully review these videos and articles and follow all the steps explained there (or those applicable for your case).
