Annoying Pop-Up

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting an annoying pop-up from HP about replacing my Power Adapter with a Smart adapter.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Annoying Pop-Up

Hi there @tdobry

Thank you for joining in on the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I read your post on the HP Support Forums. I wanted to reach out to you and help! I understand that you are receiving a pop-up about replacing the AC Power Adapter for your Notebook PC.

Are you using the adapter that came with your Notebook?

If you are using the adapter that was provided to you with the Notebook, then please try to update the BIOS. If you are using a power adapter, other than an adapter that was designed to be used with your computer, this can cause the notebook computer to display the pop-up that you have been experiencing.

There is a document called Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter. In this document there is a section called Understanding HP Smart Adapter messages. Here is the image from that section:
