HP Pavillion notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Got home 2 hours ago with my new laptop and ive spent 1 and a half hours trying to figure out why this audio keeps fading and cutting off.  Ive tried new drivers, re-installing old drivers and playing with the settings and still nothing works.  Ive seen posts from 2016... HOW CAN THIS STILL BE A PROBLEM?  Please help...

Greetings @salty12345

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an audio quality issue with your notebook.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

May I know the exact product number of your computer? Click here for assistance. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

Recommend you to uninstall the driver from device manager, delete the driver when prompted.

Restart the computer and

Launch HP Recovery Manager from all apps.

Select-> HP Help and Support -> HP Recovery Manager.

Select Reinstall drivers and/or applications from the list.

Select Conexant High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver.

Select Install.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Restart the computer after the installation is completed.

Run HP Support Assistant on your computer to make sure all the drivers are updated. Click here

Also, refer to this HP Article for assistance in using Bang and Olufsen Audio App.

Let me know if this helped.
