Battery does not hold charge & Track pad faulty

HP Notebook - 15-ac123na
I bought this laptop in November 2015 and for the last 3/4 months have been experiencing the same couple of issues.
1 - The trackpad is intermetent. This randomly stopped working while playing Football Manager, so I thought this was due to the App. This then started happening in general use meaning I have to use the mouse provided.
2- The battery life drains consistently, even when switched off. I'm conscious about over charging so have never done so but still face this issue.
Very dissappointed.

Hi@Levi92,

Multiple issues on the PC. Is that right?

Thank you for sharing the issue details. I would like to help you.

I recommend you try the diagnostics for the complete system and check if that picks up any hardware issues for both Touchpad and Battery. Use the link below to perform the step.

Also, try following the video link for the touchpad and check if that helps.
