When I turn on my laptop and press F2 the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu doss not appear and it start up as normal. Is there another way to calibrate the battery?

That is a very old laptop to be running Windows 10. Look in device manager. Do you have a Microsoft Basic video adapter showing? Running on generic drivers likely tells that power management is not fully enabled and a laptop that does not have power management working right will just burn through battery power.

The laptop does not know the F2 command. It predates UEFI by quite a bit.

I just install UEFI and I can't find Microsoft video adapter. I do see a Generic PnP Monitor

Well you do have the right video driver. I can see you are missing the card reader driver but that would not affect battery life. What does it say under the "computer" part?

That is what it is supposed to be. Is this a genuine HP battery or a "compatible"?
