Hi @nitom,

Welcome to the HP forums! It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community. I understand that you have a battery related issue and the battery does not hold any charge at all. It’ll be a pleasure to assist you with this.

A commendable job was done by you by running the battery HPSA tests. before posting your question in the HP forums. It is always a great pleasure to work with tech-savvy and technically sound customers like you. Kudos to you for that. I am amazed at your technical skills and levels of technical knowledge.

It definitely looks like the battery requires a replacement. However, let’s first establish that it is the battery and not the battery controller slot on the motherboard that is faulty.

Please perform these steps.

  • Power down the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is a removable one.
  • Hold down the power button of the unit for 15 seconds to discharge static electrical charges inside the machine.
  •
  • Replace the battery and reconnect the charger.
  • Please try to calibrate the battery.
  • Please perform a bios update from this link  http://hp.com/drivers
  • Please run battery tests from this link : http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03467259
  • Please run all the component tests and if the battery fails, please make a note of the failure code.

Hope this helps. Please let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the computer works great. Thanks for being a part of the HP community. Please let me know if this helps, and if it does, please mark this post as an “Accepted  Solution”. Kudos would also be appreciated greatly for my efforts to help.
