Solved!

BioMonitor

I have the fingerprint reader on my laptop, but I don't use it, and I don't think I ever will. Would it be ok if I disabled it or possibly even uninstalled it? Would anything else be affected or would it cause more harm than good by disabling or uninstalling it?

Hey RockChick,

Since you don't want to use it, the best thing to do is simply not to use it! Uninstalling the drivers & software for the device may cause some annoying errors and popups from Windows asking you to install drivers for it.

There's no harm in simply leaving it there unused. Enjoy!

That's kind of what I was thinking :smileyhappy:. I wouldn't have even thought anything about it until I payed attention to the software and looked into it to see what it was.

Thanks!
