Bios password unlock for HP 430 G2

430 G2
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi. I have prolem with resetting the password. I have HP 430 G2 laptop with BIOS password setup on it. Unfortunately I cannot remember the password that I´ve put on it. Is there any posibility to do a recovery to at least reset BIOS password? It is in briliant shape so it would be a terrible to throw perfectly working machine into garbage because of that.

Please help me resolve this.

Serial number: [Personal Information Removed]

(I am not sure if it is 5 or 6 - the label is bit scratched)

Product: J4S70EA#UUW

Please anyone. Replacing BIOS chip is simply impossible for me.

Bios password unlock for HP 430 G2

Hi,

Try hitting enter 3 times and see if the machine generates a 'halt code' - if it does, post back with the code.

If it doesn't produce a halt code ( and I doubt it will ), Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

Regards,
