HP G60-549DX

How do I fix this?  I have no startup disc or recovery disc.  Where can I get instructions by steps so I can fix myself.   And where do I get a replacement hard disk 1 (rent test item).   Thanks!!

Hi,

Replace hard drive with a branded new one of similar form factor. Your laptop came with a 250gb SATA HDD. Get a hard drive of at least 250gb.

You can anyway try to do a hard reset and see if helps nevertheless:

Order recovery USB from HP to restore factory settings, if you already haven't created a recovery media set for yourself after setting up laptop.

I couldn't find Service manual for this model, nevertheless replacing hard drive doesn't seem to be a difficult task. Just disconnect the failed drive from SATA Connector and plug in the new one.
