HP 15 Notebook PC

My computer is working fine as long as its in battery mode. However when i plug in the AC adapter the screen goes black. I bought a new adapter thinking that it was bad but the same thing is happening. Please help.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

On the offchance some of this might help, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:  http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=DisplayissuesandTouchscreen.net&section=ccweb&as=true&SFS=td...

There is this HP thread for troubleshooting the charger, but I don't see how you're going to be able to use it if your screen blanks out when the charger is conneced:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00363266?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0006

You might have to resort to having this checked at an HP Service Center:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

Good Luck
