Hi im looking for answers as to whats wrong withmy laptop

I had replaced my charger a few weeks ago because it was getting hot and humming, now all of a sudden after weeks of being fine besides the constant BSOD when left idle, while browsing the net my screen went into a ton of lines like the matrix after restarting many times the screen is just black and the back light flickers while making a slight buzz or click every flicker. I can still hear Windows loading up correctly just no image

Ive tried the hard reset holding the power down 60 seconds, removed both rams and tested each, tried hooking it up to the tv through hdmi but doesnt display anything

Any suggestions im hoping its not the video card as they're soldered to the board..

@k4zz

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand there is a black screen on display and the backlight is flickering,

I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern,

 as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said, you seem to have done it all.

Seems like you just needed a person to tell you, that you have diagnosed it accurately and unfortunately, it's time to face your fear as this is clearly a video card failure.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is what it is and I recommend you Contact HP to set up a repair order.
