Black screen when attempting to boot

HP Recommended
HP 15 TS Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing Windows 10 on my laptop (HP 15 TS Notebook PC), on initial startup of the device, everything seems to run as normal (power light is visible), but then the screen goes black a few seconds later before login (power light still visible). My solution to this is: press the power button (power light turns off), press the power button second time, and then the screen turns on showing the logging in screen (not a complete restart of the initial device screen).

Advice wanted to prevent the need of doing this.

Note: Microsoft suggested:-

[updating the Display Adapter drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to update the Display driver:

  1. Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
  2. Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
  3. Right-click on the Display Adapter listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.
  4. Select the option to automatically search for the updated driver software.
  5. Restart the computer after its updated and verify]

The driver software for the device was up to date.

Jawad

Weird, starting the computer without the power cable — all works fine as you suggested. But then connect the power cable (at any point) and the screen goes black.

It seems my laptop has healed itself, now runs fine with or without the power cord pluged in. so i hope you have the same outcome.
