Broken Hinge on my HP Envy 17 Notebook

HP Envy 17 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had my HP Envy Notebook for only 3 years. I paid $1300 for it and have taken great care of it. A few weeks ago, I noticed the left hinge rotating differently than the right one. A few days ago I noticed that the rotation was getting worse and I also noticed that the bottom of the case was separating from the keyboard deck at the left corner near the hinge.

After reseraching this issue, it appears that the hinge on my laptop is broken and that this is a big design issue with HP laptops. HP should pay for this. I should not have to pay for this especially since the problem is widespread and pervasive.

Laptop cases should be sturdy enough to hold up for the life of the computer.

I need help from HP and I want them to pay for this.

@needlaptophelp1

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
