The left hinge on my laptop is broken and the right is about to go. Do you sell the back covers or could you replace it for me?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

 Hello DDalton699,

If your Laptop is still under warranty, you can take it to an HP store and have it fixed for a lower cost, or completely costless. If you are not under warranty, HP may or may not require you to pay for it to be fixed. However, the alternate option is to go through HP PartSurfer, which HP's dedicated website for replacement parts.

All you need is to go to HP PartSurfer and have your Part/Product/Serial number, and inter it into the search bar. From there, move to the right of your screen and select your country. Once you have done that, a list of all available parts will come up. Scroll through and read carefully to ensure you're getting the right part.

Once you have found your part, check the box to the left of it, and go to the checkout. Upon arrival you may need to scroll down, there will be your part, the price, and off course the official check out. Continue on through your order and your part will arrive soon.

If, however, you cannot find your part, Call their Support and speak to a representative. Provide them with what you are looking for, as well as the product/part/serial number. They may ask you to go to a brief hold while they search for your product. If the product is not in stock at any retailer, they may advise you to call back, or give you the warehouse number and part number if you did not have it already. If the part has been discontinued, you may have to spend the extra money to take it to an HP specialist and have it replaced if they carry the part.

Best of luck!
