CD stuck inside the laptop

HP ProtectSmart
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi All,

I looked in this forum for a solution to this exact problem others had but couldn't find any.  As with others, my CD went in, somehow got stuck all the way inside, and can't be extracted.  The drive opens, empty.  I checked for a screw on the bottom (based on an answer I saw) but didn't see any.  Any other suggestions for this model?  It's a ProtectSmart -- I didn't see any product number.

Thanks ahead for your help :)

Julie

In reply to a link someone sent-- that link is for damaged hard drives.  I just need to get my CD out from inside my laptop.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Sorry, I'm talking about the book (pdf file). The book will show you how to open the case of your machine to look at HDD or what ever.

Regards.
