Can't activate Windows due to missing product key.

HP Recommended

To Whom It May Conconcern,

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 14 Sleekbook.

I cannot activate the pre-loaded windows (windows 😎 because the product key is missing. I understand that all pre-loaded windows have the product key pre-injected. I have contacted the HP customer support, they were helpful enough to send me a USB recovery drive.

After restoring everything to factory default, the same issue keeps occuring when I try to update windows.

I also contacted Microsoft customer service and they said that without a product key, they could not assist me.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Hi,

I have seen this before and it's actually pretty common issue with Windows 8. Read this:

Gigabyte G5 Linux Mint
HP Touchpad provided by HP
HP Microserver Gen8 10TB Debian Server
