Cannon USB printer not getting installed on hp 64 bit windows 7 laptop

15AY019TU
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have bought HP 64 bit DOS laptop.  then installed windows 7 64 bit on it.

Downloaded all relevant drivers from HP site through HP support software.

But cannot install Cannon LBP2900 USB printer.

As soon as I plug in the printer I get the message that the device connected to USB port has malfuntioned.

Printer works on my other HP 64 bit laptop having windows 10.

Please help

Try downloading & installing the Canon driver for this device: http://www.canon.ie/support/consumer_products/products/printers/laser/i-sensys_lbp2900.aspx?type=dri...

Thanks for reply. Yes I did download these drivers but did not work. It says USB device connected to USB port malfunction.
