Cant see portions of login screen AND forgot password to HP Stream

HP Stream

When I turn the laptop on the login screen is white and I can see wifi and battery life display in bottom left corner as well as grey silhouette of default user avatar, password in green and a blue "next" arrow for password confirmation, but NOTHING else. I also forgot the password and need to recover it.

I understand that you see the login screen with the next option for confirming the password but you forgot what it is. Please review this post by @Bill_F I forgot my password can HP help me reset it to aid with the password recovery process. Please let me know how it goes.
