Chromebook battery won't charge

HP Chromebook 14
Chrome OS

I recently purchase a Chrombook a few days ago and I couldn't find the battery icon on my hp i read that it just needs to be fully charged to see the battery icon but its been charging for 2 days and it still doesn't pop up. Also it doesn't turn on when its not connected to the battery cable, which kinda sucks have to connect the cable to be able to use the chromebook.

Chromebook battery won't charge

Welcome to the HP Support Community @marquez510

I did some research for you and found a document called Chromebook Does Not Start (Chrome OS). Please look over the document and find a fix that matches your Chromebook's symptom.

If your Chromebook isn’t booting at all, you may need to perform a hard reset. You can do this by pressing Refresh + Power on modern Chromebooks. On a Chromebox, you will need to disconnect and reconnect the power cable.

If that does not work, here is a document for you called HP Chrome OS - Frequently Asked Questions about Your HP Chromebook or Chromebox.

Please get back to me with the troubleshooting results. answers to the questions above, and any other details you may have about the problem.

If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button down below in this message. If you wish to say "thanks" for my effort to help, click the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.
