1 TB WD Black 7200 rpm should work fine but a bit of overkill on an older laptop. It is a SATA interface, but I believe SATA-150 which limits how good the transfer rates can be.

Thank you very much. I also like SSHD (WD10J31X). Is SSHD (WD10J31X) compatible with my notebook? Which hard disk is better for my notebook? WD10JPLX or WD10J31X? I know, my notebook is old, but I love him. I want little upgrade him.

SSHD is compatible and a little faster than the 7200 rpm drive. If you really want to make it perform as well as the old guy can, install a full solid state drive. Samsung Evo 850 is a good one.

Thank you. Very good disk. Does my notebook support AHCI function? IDE mode is slower. Without AHCI I will not be able to use the full capabilities of SSD. How I activate AHCI?

Thank you very much. 🙂
