Notebook G61-420ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer does not go into sleep and hibernate mode properly.  This started a few days ago. The power light remains lit and the fan continues to run.   I often have to force it off, then turn it back on which sometimes I have to do repeatedly until it finally starts again.

I upgraded to Windows 10 last summer and have had no problem, until now.   I followed the instructions at the following webpage:

but, when I got to Step 2 and clicked on "HP Drivers & Downloads" and entered my model number and entered Windows as my Operating System, it did not give me Windows 10 as an option.

The BIOS Version is     Hewlett Packard  F.13, 1/25/2010
 I hope you can help.

Hi @g61-420ca,

The reason Window 10 drivers are not availble for this unit is because Windows 10 is not tested on this unit from hp when this model was released.

However, If a specific driver, is not listed, download and install the appropriate driver from Intel website

Thanks for your reply.  I clicked the link, then clicked on Drivers, then clicked on "Windows 10 64-bit" which produced 8 drivers.  How do I know which one is right ?  And how can I know it's the right one to fix my hibernation problem ?
