My screen on my HP Pavilion 15-p037cl Notebook PC was recently cracked. The screen is a touch scream and that no longer works now. There are no black spots that appear on the screen when the laptop is on. There are only cracked sceen lines that run throught the top of the screen. The frame of the laptop is not damaged and all the functions of the laptop are working excluding the touch screen. How much would it cost to send in the laptop and have the screen fixed?

You probably do not want to send it in. Where are you located? Country only. You do not need the replacement screen and HP wants to sell the whole sealed unit, screen, casing, digitizer and glass and it is very expensive. On eBay you can buy just the glass and digitizer and then you can take it to a cell phone repair shop and they can do the labor. Replacing touchscreen glass is more like working on a cell phone or tablet and a lot of laptop techs are not very good at it, yours truly included. This seller is from UK, but we could find the part in a lot of places. Cell phone repair shops are more competitive than computer repair places and we can find a place for you to get the labor done and maybe get you out of this for like $150-200 total where HP would charge well over $300.

Here it is from USA:
Not endorsing the above but if you live in a major city it is a place to start. They will beat other estimates by $5. In most cities of any significant size there are cell phone repair places in the more interesting neighborhoods in nearly every strip mall. Buy the part yourself as these places will mark it up if they order it.
