Here is the latest one form NVIDIA, but it's still kind of old, but it's all there is.

First : create a manual Windows restore point when installing any new driver.

Save the above file to the desk top and install it from there, not from temporary folder.

In most cases there is an advanced option in the installing package to do a clean install, choose this.

If it's not there, discontinue the installation and manually uninstall your present NVIDIA driver and restart.

Install the new driver and restart.

With your AMD processor, NVIDIA also has a chipset driver for it. Take a look at this thread here. Second post from Dan.

 http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and/Windows-7-Upgrade-Guide-for-dv2000-model...

There is a method where Dan has you uninstall the Graphics driver, do this and install the NVIDIA chipset driver and then the graphics driver again.

The chipset driver should have been installed first before any other drivers, but we will see if we can get away with doing it this way.

This is assuming that you have not installed the chipset driver.

According to your specs you also have 4 GB of RAM, there is a link there from Intel that you need to read as well concerning this. There may be a problem with the functionality of the USB ports, so you may not want to worry about that now, but in case you have a problem with them there is an update package there.

I also advise you to go through and read the thread and understand its information.

Time to do your home work.

Although this may not be the problem I always recommend you delete all partitions on the hard drive and install W7 on unallocated space, W7 will format the hard drive automatically. This provides the best environment to install W7 on rather then just formating the drive. Formatting doesn't always remove old and unwanted Vista partitions and hidden files that cause problem with a clean install of W7.

Run this auto driver fonder from Intel and install the chipset driver it finds if it's a newer one then you have.

 http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu

When installing drivers always save the install file to the desk top and install it from there, not from a temporary folder.

After installing the new chip set driver (if applicable), install this Graphics driver direct from NVIDIA.

http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/8972  (it's from 2009, but it's the most recent available)

Save it to the desk top as you did before.

It will give you a choice to do a custom install _ choose that option and in the next window click on the button to do a clean install.

If you choose to install W7 again, I like this tutorial. It tells you how to delete all partitions on the drive with your W7 install disc.

The other problem that you are facing is that according to your specs it says the max amount of RAM your machine will take is 2 GB. You need at least 3 for a 64 bit version to function properly _ consider running  a 32 bit version. You may try installing 3 or 4 GB of RAM and it may work, but there are no guarantees. If you go this route installing matched pairs are your best bet so the MoBo and BIOS will accept the new RAM.

Have the performance monitor running in the task manager while watching a video and see how much of your 2 GB of RAM are being used.
