Product: ProBook 6550b
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I  need to view  a AutoDesk CAD graphic program  that requires a display that has graphics drivers  supporting OpenGL 3.3 or newer. My current  is OpenGL 2.2

 

Can anyone please advise how to get and install the latest drivers that support OpenGL3.3?

The specifications for this model vary a bit.  Can you post what graphic card you have on this system?

Hi Pjohns,

 

i have the same problem trying to open the program FormZ.

It needs Open GL 3.3 as well.

 

i have a intel based videocard in the HP Probook 6550b.

 

Is it possible to get Open GL driver for this card,

or do i need the ATI Mobile Radeon Card?

My research has shown that there is no solution for old graphics chips . A docking station should offer a possibility using external graphics cards but HPs own does not. eGPU is the term to search for or "Mini-PCI-E-Version-EXP-GDC-Beast-Laptop-External-Independent-Video-Card-Dock". But I did not test nor may recommend, just a potential solution with caveats.
