Solved!

Drivers needed

HP Recommended
HP 15-r018dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I reinstalled Windows 8.1 and need 2 drivers for my system, but the support pages do not load (even when using Internet Explorer).  How else can I get these drivers?

SM Bus Controller

Unknown Device

The computer works, but I would like these drivers.

Is there a way to get a cd or something with all these drivers for this computer?

Hi,

You can download all of them then burn to a CD or DVD. All drivers are on the following link:

    http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/6875200/model/7146395#Z7_30...

Regards.

Hi:

Here are the direct links to the smbus controller:

This package contains the Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver for supported notebook models and operating systems. This utility enables the operating system to show the correct name for the installed Intel hardware in the Microsoft Windows Device Manager.

File name: sp69575.exe

The unknown device can be one of two things...

The wireless button driver...

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=6943827&swItemId=ob_124774_1&swEnvOid=415...

Or the HP 3D driveguard driver...

This package provides the HP 3D Driveguard software (HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection software) for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. HP 3D Driveguard protects the hard drive by parking the heads, if the notebook is accidentally dropped, or is abruptly impacted by another object.

File name: sp67280.exe

The wireless button driver worked, but not the others.

Thanks for the input.

Still looking for the correct SM Bus Controller.
