ENVY QUAD 17T-J100 wifi (Model E1P13AV)

Is the newer Intel AC wifi card (Intel Dual Band Wireless - AC 7260) on the approved whitelist if I want to swap out my card?  I know the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 is approved, but since it is a 1x1, I'd rather have the newer 2x2 if it will work in my laptop.

They are putting them in HP laptops now, so I don't see a problem with it.

Yes your model is new enough that therte is no BIOS whitelist. You can install any wireless card you wish as long as it physically fits and you have enough antenna leads.

ENVY QUAD 17T-J100 wifi (Model E1P13AV)

I just installed my new 7260AC card and went to Intel for driver updates....no bluetooth!

I tried to uninstall my smartphone from the pc and it won't let me.

Any suggestions?  I'm sure it's a driver issue...

Thanks but those didn't work.  I downloaded those two drivers from the Intel website as soon as I installed the new wifi card and when I tried to use my phone via bluetooth, got an error message that "Adding your device did not work.  First remove from your pc, and try again".

I am now unable to remove my phone from my pc, despite removing from the conventional Device Manager AND from the Charms menu on the Windows 8.1 start up page.

Should I uninstall the drivers and then reinstall and try again?  The drivers recommended on the HP website seem to be out of date...
