Hi all, is there any way I can get to the advanced BIOS settings on my Elitebook 8560w?

I remember on the Envy you culd press the F10 key and A key and it would get you to the advanced features...

Are you pressing the F10 key when the HP logo appears (when you first hit the power button)?  According to this, it should be F10.

F10 gets you to the BIOS settings, I know, I am looking for an advanced set of BIOS settings... the standard BIOS settings on these Elitebooks is rather limited.

I need to disable the laptops C State and SpeedStep settings and cannot do this from the regular BIOS settings.

What you see is what you get.  Not all BIOS settings are available for adjustment with HP computers.

Thanks Kalt, but are you absolutely sure about that?  The Envy has an F10 and A key combo to get you into the advanced settings.  I can hardly believe HP would so serverly cripple their own BIOS abilities on their flagship machine...

Hi, had the same problem, the ctrl+alt+f10 solved it.

It may be useful to other 8560w owners, as this thread is first hit on google search.

Best regards,

Laszlo
