Enable AHCI for SSD upgrade, Pavilion dv6000 series, dv6770se

I have a HP Pavilion dv6770se - AMD Turion X2 processor

OS: Windows 7, 64 bit

Upgraded harddrive to Samsung 840 series SSD

Samsung Magician software indicates AHCI is inactivated (IDE or RAID)

I can find nothing in BIOS that allows one to configure SATA mode

I upgraded to latest BIOS available via HP support for the dv6770se

Device manager shows nothing for AHCI under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers

Help anyone?

The nvidia chipset in your model does not support AHCI.
