Enabling Legacy boot - what's the worst that could happen?

HP Recommended
HP Notebook - 14-ac151nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The message that pops up "If you select this option your OS may no longer be bootable" is making me reluctant. So before I go ahead and enable this Legacy boot thing in order to boot from DVD... is this OK?

If your PC came with Win10 preinstalled, it was loaded in UEFI mode.  If you change your boot to Legacy mode, Win10 will no longer boot.

If you're booting from DVD to install a different OS, that is a BAD idea -- as although that OS would then boot, Win10 would no longer boot because when you have multiple OSs on a PC, they ALL need to be installed using the same mode -- either UEFI or BIOS, but not both.

So, I would not do that.

Good Luck
