Envy 17 Problem (1024 x 768)

Dear all,

I am having problem when playing some old computer games, in 1024 x 768 resolution.

I cannot find any digital zoom function so the screen is chopped on both left and right side.

Anyone know solutions ? Thanks.

Laptop Specification:

HP Envy17-1013 TX,

core i7-720QM, 8GB Ram,

1920 x 1080, ATI Radeon HD 5850 1G,

Window 7 Professional

regards,

Re: Envy 17 Problem (1024 x 768)

well, finally i found the fix lol  :smileyvery-happy:

1) Open Catalyst Control Center
2) Drop down box at top left, Desktops and Displays
3) At Bottom where monitors are displayed, right-click, Configure.
4) Choose "Full Screen" or "Maintain aspect ratio"
5) IF THE OPTIONS ARE GREYED OUT, lower display resolution first.

That's normal because the monitor is wide-screen.  If you were to stretch it to fill the entire viewing area it would look horrible.

But i should have that option, do i ??  :)

Also, the black space on the side is very bad to me indeed.
