I just updated my Envy 14 to bios revision F.23. While the new BIOS did fix the wireless problems I had encountered, my fan is now loud and on constantly. Previously it had been either very quiet or off and spun up when my computer got warm. Now it is on all the time. The 'Fan always on' setting in the bios is disabled. And my temperatures are the same or lower than they were previously (low 30Cs) so its not that my computer is warmer thereby keeping the fans on. Is there any solution to this problem?

@champinder
Hi,
Because this happend after upgrade I would suggest downgrading Bios to previous version.

When I wrote reply to you somehow I did not notice that you have desktop (this board is for notebooks).
I talked with Cheryl to ask is there possibility to get old version of Bios to downgrade for this machines.
Unfortunately this option is not possible for HP desktops.
Have you tried suggetions posted by CherylG about clearing CMOS and resetting BIOS defaults?
