Finding suitable memory and ssd drive for HP EliteBook 840 G1

HP EliteBook 840 G1
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We would like to upgrade the computers at our offices, at the moment we all use this product:

We have Windows 7 installed (no idea whether that matters).

We would like to add some memory as well as SSD-drives. How do I know how much memory we can add and what SSD-drives to choose?  What would be the best options?

The following link shows the specifications for you HP 840 G1 notebook.

http://h71016.www7.hp.com/dstore/html/pdfs/AMS_HP_EliteBook_840_G1_Notebook_PC_Data_Sheet.pdf

It accepts up to 16 GB of installed memory and  SSD drives.

The simplest method would be to use the Crucial.com website to see what they offer. The following link shows compatible memory upgrades and compatible SSD disks.  It is important to purchase guaranteed compatible upgrade items to minimize frustration and downtime.

You can purchase the items directly through Crucial or at a vendor like NewEgg.com
