Fingerprint reader not working, probably damaged

HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi. I probably damaged the fingerprint reader, trying to clean it ... Does anyone know if it is possible to fix or replace and who shounld I contact? Thanks, D.

This could be a hardware issue and I strongly recommend you to immediately Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay to get your Notebook diagnosed and serviced by an authorized HP Certified Engineer
