Freeze on DisplayPort cable connect

EliteBook 840 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

we have one EliteBook 840 G2 which freezes - black monitor no reaction have to restart - while on batterie and connecting the integrated Display port to a Display port cable (presentation meeting room).

Windows 7 Ent - all updates

Graphic Card Intel HD Graphics 5500 Driver Date 28.08.2015 - Version 10.18.14.4280

Checked the problem with hardware/software rendering in Internet Explorer (search on HP forum for similar issues)

Updated the standard BISO graphic ram settings from 32mb to 512mb

Bios Version M71 Ver. 01.08

with no effect.

The device is normally connected to a 2013 Slim Dockingstation with 2 monitors (connected via DisplayPort) and used including notebook monitor (3 monitor mode). After taking out of the dockingstation and connecting it to a DisplayPort cable in meeting room the freeze occurs.

Any ideas?

Thanks
