HP 15 N027SA 480GB Sandisk Ultra II SSD Upgrade

15 N027SA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing a brand new Sandisk 480GB SSD, it was not recognised by the bios, so tried a 480GB Cructial SDD which also was not recognised, so put the orignal 1TB hard drive which works fine, the SSD worked fine previously in a DV7, what is the possible issue, as the N027SA is a later model?

Hi @Nutcracker27,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand you are having an issue with upgrading to SSD. I will be glad to help you.

This computer was not sold with a SSD as a option and has not been test with any other the one listed on page 67 to the Maintenance and Service Guide.

If you wish to try using a SSD please refer to HP Notebook Hard Drives & Solid State Drives.

Please keep me informed of how things went.
