HP 2013 Ultraslim Docking stat
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a HP 2013 Ultra Slim Docking Station with Elitebook pro 840G1 but I can't display op either DP ports from the docking station when I connect my Dell 2516Q 4k monitor. When I plugin the DP cable directly on the laptop it works like a charm.

Seem that the dockingstation doesn't support this monitor. Is there a firmware or driver I need to install to get this working?

Thank you for the feedback and assistance.

Jack

Hi,

I got the same issue with the BenQ BL3201PT monitor. Works when connected to the computer, but if I connect it through the docking station, I get no signal. Works though if I lower the resolution to 1920x1080@60Hz.

I installed the latest firmware for the docking station: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=7815295&swItemId=ob_165723_1&swEnvOid=419...

But still same problem.

Did you ever find a solution?

Same problem driving my Samsung UE590 at 4k.

Updated to the latest docking station firmware (2.33) but problem persists.

Would absolutely LOVE for someone at HP to find a solution for us...

I had this same problem but was able to solve it. I switched my monitor from DisplayPort version 1.1 to 1.2. My monitor reset itself and when it came back up the dock/computer recognized it as 4k automatically. Every monitor will have a different way to set this so check your manual.
