8570w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 8570w is running Win 10 64bit ver 1607 ( i update it from win 7).

-after upgrade to win 10, everything working fine for a months. BUT

-After an update of Microsoft ( i dont remember what exactly it's name, perhap Anniversal update), my laptop cannot use webcam to make videocall in Chrome or Skype ( apps from 3rd companies) but all apps of Microsoft  still working fine (CAMERA, SKYPES PREVIEW are still able to take picture, video from webcam).

-I reinstall all apps, driver but it'snot working.

 Anybody can help me ?

p/s: i'm having to use messenger app in Store to make video call -_- ( which show that the webcam is still good, but chrome cannot access it)

Hello @NguyenManhHung

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

If all other apps can access the camera, I think it may be either Google Chrome issue or it could be permission issue (not related to the Windows update).

Please, check if Chrome has permissions to access the camera. Here are instructions:

Also, attempt to reset Chrome to default settings > https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en

Reinstall Chrome browser > https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/126299?hl=en

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help but it seem not working. I also contacted MS agents for 3 times, gave them all infor and accessing to my Lap ( remote control ) but they still cannot find why.

We do every things : reinstall chrome, reinstall Windown ( new copy), reinstall driver but all not work. Chrome dont appear in privacy list ( perhap it's a special app that can access all feature of lap).

Some of my friends who have 8570w got the same issue. I think that it's problem with the camera driver ( which is from 2015). Perhap we need new driver to fix this problem.

I hope that HP will soon pulling out a new version of driver for us ( as Nvidia did, when i first upgrade to win 10, the text is blur - it's win 10 issue with fullHD screen- but after installed lastest driver from Nvidia it is clear now ).

Whatever, thank you 🙂
