Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
All the sudden certain keys began printing 3 or more letters..not allowing to get inside the system as win.8 password box does not allow in such combination.Called CS at 1866.356.4547.spoke with "chaipra" in India. Despite the fact that this computer was purchased in June 2016 (1 YEAR warranty), I was informed by Chaipra that HP warranty does not cover BIOS RESET, but HP be happy to help me for about $400.00!!. AT THAT IS SCOFFED and told her that I need an email with invoice for such charge! SHE RESPONDED THAT SHE IS UNABLE TO SEND ANYTHING OTHER THAN TAKING MY MONEY VIA PHONE! SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM....UNLESS HP IS REALLY ON IT! HP contact me asap before I go on social media and share this story with everyone else! This is simply crazy..and if that is how HP makes money...i will never purchase another HP product again!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.
