In cooperation with various government regulatory agencies, HP has announced an expansion of its June 2016 worldwide voluntary safety recall and replacement program for certain notebook batteries. Additional batteries are affected.

Lastly I did a BIOS update from the HP software and driver support. FOllowing that the laptop is starting up. When switched on power LED and battery LED goes on. Processor/Hard Disk LED goes on for while and goes off. All the sound I can hear if Fan sound continuously. If I insert a CD, processor/harddisk LED blinks for while and goes off. I can hear noise from CD drive during the same time and goes off. Any solutions for the laptop repair? Warranty has expired recently!!!
The first thing to try is a hard reset.
- Un-plug all accessories and the AC power adapter from the notebook.
- Remove the battery using the eject switch beneath the notebook.
- Let it sit without power for at least one minute
- Re-attach the battery and AC adapter and power on the unit.
If that fails to work, I'm afraid it may be bricked.
