Solved!
HP® Elitebook (Elitebook 8440P)
01-04-2015 03:53 PM

I have just purchased an Elitebook 8440. It will come with 4GB ram and I have been told the max ram is 8. I have the 4gb ram from the dead laptop. Part number 621569-001. How can I confirm that what I have is good to use in the new computer? I've checked out the HP PartSurfer and the replacement part number is 641369-001 if that helps at all.
Thank you

Hi,
You can use same partsurfer to check 621569-001. It will give a list of machines which use 621569-001
Regards.

Your used module is PC3-10600 Cas Latency 9
Your original module is PC3-12800 Cas Latency 11
It is recommended to use identical modules in Dual-Channel memory systems.
You can use the Crucial Advisor Tool or the Crucial System Scanner to find compatible memory and specs.
