The screw is lost some where in the laptop, the left corner seperates near the hinge when I open the lid. Laptop just a year old.

HP Envy 15 Broken Screw Fitting on Case Near Left Hinge

Dear Omar,

My Envy 15 has exactly the same problem. The screw fitting in left corner is broken inside. There is no any physical damage outside. The case splits and opens when I open the lid.

Would you please tell me how to fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Jay

I have the same problem. The screw is still seated. However the plastic on the bottom case cracked & there is no way to secure the cover. Please advise. Thank you.

HP Envy 15 Broken Screw Fitting on Case Near Left Hinge

Dear Danny,

Thank you for fixing my laptop's left hinge and offered 9-month warranty on 11-24-2015. However, the laptop left hinge was broken again without any physical damage from outside. The problem is exactly like the previous.

Would you please help again?

Is there a permanent solution for it?

Thanks and regards,

Jay
