HP Envy laptop broken left rear hinge.

HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j140us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First, I LOVE Hp laptops!!! Being the one that buys all the Electronics for my household.  We currently we have five, everyone has a HP laptop.

But my HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j140us  The hinge just snaps and pops every time you open the laptop and now the case Is coming apart no mater how carefully I try to  Open It   I paid over $1000 for a glorified paperweight.  Its only 18 months old!!!!! After doing a search on the internet this must be a known Issue with this laptop case design ,   Thank you for your time, The Dimmer fammily U.S. Army attive duty.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
