I am trying to recover my HP notebook G62-357 and when I am on the second disk it is giving me the following error. Can anybody please help.
"Recovery Manager could not restore your computer using the factory image. Please contact HP Support.
Error code : OxeOef000"
I am using Windwos 7 operting system, and these recovery disk are the original ones came with the system, were never opened or used, so I do not think any issue with the CDs itself.
Just so you know I am out of the warranty, so can't call HP. Any help is appreciated.

I won't be able to help you with getting the recovery disks to work, but if you can still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on the bottom of your notebook, you can make your own plain W7 installation media and use that to get your notebook back up and running, if you can't sort out the recovery disk problem.
Here's how to do that when you don't have W7 installation media.
Use the Windows 7 USB/DVD installation tool to compile the ISO file you download from Digital River. Link below. You need a DVD or a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB method of compilation.
Use the 25 character windows 7 product key to activate your installation.
Then go to the PC's support and driver page to install the drivers you need.
Link to the W7 ISO file downloads is below. Download the applicable version of Windows 7 that is on your product key (Home Premium, Pro, or Ultimate).

Paul, one question. I went into digital river to check the download & there are 2 W7 HP version for x86 & x64 (bit I guess), how do I know which one is right for me?

You're very welcome.
I would download the SP1 Media Refresh ISO file for the version of Windows 7 you need.
If your notebook came with W7 64 bit (which I think it did), you want the file listed x64.
x86 is the 32 bit version.
