HP Pavilion G4 2201TX can not find nearby bluetooth devices

Hello, @Amitvijay

Welcome to the HP Forums.

It appears that you're trying to use the bluetooth on your notebook. That your notebook cannot see devices and these device can't see the notebook. I will try to assist you with this.

I would like to start by providing you these documents as reference sources. They have steps that may be able to assist you. Please use the documents first before any other steps are attempted.

Fixing Bluetooth Problems
Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 😎

To go with those here are other steps that you may need to try:

1) Make sure all Windows updates have been completed.
2) Update bluetooth driver, use the HP Support Assistant.
3) Test

If that has the same results try:

1) Go to Device Manager.
2) Right click on the Bluetooth peripheral device that you want
3) Choose uninstall
4) Restart the notebook

5) Test

If this didn't help, update the BIOS next. If this doesn't help continue below.

1) Go to device manager
2) Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
3) Select "Update Driver Software..."
4) Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
5) Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
6) Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
7) Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
😎 Finally select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link"

If you are still unable to pair with a Bluetooth device try the following:

1) Search for "Change device" in the Windows 8 Start menu.
2) Click on where it says Change device installation settings.
3) Select the No, let me choose what to do option.
4) Check the automatically get the device app option
5) Click Save changes to save the settings you just chose

As well you can try this

1) Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter
2) Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it
3) Now click on Log On Tab and Type in "Local Service" without quotes
4) Click on “This Account”
5) Now remove any passwords leave the password field blank
6) Underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlink "Start" Click it

If you complete all of the above and still cannot see a device or connect with bluetooth, it's more then likely a hardware issue. Please let me know how far you get in the steps provided. If you need any assistance with something let me know.

Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

I worked on behalf of HP.
