greenpicklespro,

Below find the latest HP document on the Hard Reset procedure:

Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset

Hard Reset works for a variety of issues:  Stuck device drivers are its specialty.  Smiling.

For example, the Hard Reset might help your fingerprinter start working again, should you be lucky enough to have such on your computer.  The Hard Reset can sometimes un-stick a stubborn bluetooth driver.  Hard Reset can even be used, just sometimes, to convince a stubborn computer to boot.

Keep the instructions on hand and read the information through at least once.

Hello. I have HP pavilion dv6-6107sa. My toucchpad wasn't working for first time. After hard reset LED light appeared in area around touchpad, but not in left upper corner and still didn't work. Any suggestions?

Mastiucha,

Take a look at this document - the file mentions methods used to enable / disable the TouchPad.

You might skip repeating the Hard Reset method.
