I had to restore my computer to factory settings and created a backup using HP Recovery Manager. When I use HP Recovery Manager to restore the files, it says that they will be created in the following location, C:System Recovery Files and that a shortcut will be placed on my desktop. When I click next, I get the following error, HP Recovery Manager Failed. Error Code = 0xEFFFF01 and Recovery Manager does not finish the task.

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about problems after running the HP Recovery Manager and wanted to help -- but need more information.
So, WHY were you running the Recovery Manager? If it was because you were suffering slow downs or crashes on the laptop, you most likely have a failing drive.
Also, were you running Win10 and wanted to go back to Win7?
We can proceed once you provide the information.

Thank You for your fast reply. I was running Windows 10 on my laptop and after it performed a Windows Update, I got a blue screen and the computer would not boot. I created the backup files and then restored my computer. I plan to go back to Windows 10 after I get all of my files restored, but I am having the issue with recovery manager. I have performed all of the system tools on the computer since restoring it and all of the diagnostic tools show that the computer is working fine.
